The International Model African Union Conference is an annual simulation of the African Union (similar to the Model United Nations Simulation in New York). There will be universities from all around the world representing various African nations. This conference provides students the chance to learn about roles, structures and activities of the African Union including economic, social, political and security issues facing African countries. The negotiation simulation is completed in accordance with real time information provided by African Union Diplomats at the Embassy of the respective countries.

The experience gained in this simulation serves as a career building platform such that students may apply various skillets in an environment which replicates the professional stage. In addition to the simulation, there will be networking opportunities with African Diplomats for the development of personal and professional networks. The recognition of winning students serves as a bonus for career development seeing that the deciding panel is represented by active African Union Diplomats and individuals of influence.
